Knowledge-Sharing Strategies to Overcome the Knowledge Gap

Friday, August 16 | 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm
The Maven Hotel | Windsor II

As the US workforce ages, both the insurance and legal industries are facing a knowledge gap.  Nearly 400,000 employees are expected to retire from the insurance industry workforce within the next few years. In addition, an estimated 14% of all lawyers are 65 or older. How can the insurance industry and insurance defense attorneys avoid the loss of knowledge as individuals retire? Can insurance industry professionals and insurance defense attorneys assist each other in overcoming the approaching knowledge and skills gap? How do generational differences and remote work affect knowledge transfer? This panel will discuss experiences and concerns regarding the approaching knowledge gap along with practical strategies and tools to assist with knowledge transfer, including mentoring as a knowledge-sharing strategy.
